The Test de Connaissance du Français – TCF (French knowledge test) is available in different versions for specific audiences. It places the candidate on a CEFR level, thus providing him with a detailed linguistic profile. The certificate issued is valid for 2 years.

The TCF tests can take place on paper or on a computer.

Validated by psychometricians and assessment experts, these certifications are internationally recognized and frequently used by foreign ministries.

TCF FOR CANADA

This TCF has been designed to meet the requirements of the Canadian authorities which make it compulsory and systematic to take French or English tests and exams as part of the procedures for issuing a visa.

No other TCF test or diploma is accepted as proof of the French language level.

For who ?

For anyone, regardless of their nationality and language of origin, wishing to initiate immigration procedures with the Canadian Department for Immigration and Citizenship Canada.

TCF FOR quebec province

This TCF was designed to meet the requirements of the Quebec authorities, which make it compulsory and systematic to hand over
standardized French tests and exams to obtain the Quebec Selection Certificate (CSQ) and the issuance of a permanent visa.
The Quebec authorities accept the complete TCF “all public” (compulsory tests and optional tests), the TCF Canada as well as the DELF and DALF diplomas (subject to obtaining a minimum score in the oral comprehension and oral expression tests and valid for less than 2 years).

For who ?

For anyone, regardless of their nationality and language of origin, wishing to initiate permanent immigration procedures with the Quebec Ministry of Francisation and Integration.

TEST DE CONNAISSANCE DU FRANÇAIS « TOUT PUBLIC »

The TCF responds to the growing demand for mobility and is of particular interest to students, businesses and international organizations.

It benefits from the recognition of conferences of higher education establishments, French ministries of education, culture and health.

For who ?

For older adolescents and adults for study, personal or professional reasons; students who wish to enter a first year of university license or a license 2 or 3 or a master 1 or 2.

French language level test, the TCF is also available for specific audiences.

TCF INTEGRATION, RESIDENCE AND NATIONALITY (IRN)​

This TCF was designed to meet the request of the French Ministry
of the Interior setting at level B1 the level required for applicants for French nationality, at level A2 the level required to obtain a long-term residence permit in France

For who ?

Candidates for the acquisition of French nationality by marriage or naturalization (level B1 minimum). Candidates who wish to obtain a long-term residence permit in France for 10 years (level A2 minimum).
