The Fête de la Musique is one of the two major cultural events of the year for the Alliance Française Port Harcourt.
Each year, it is one of the flagship events for students and relatives of the Alliance.
Abroad, the Fête de la Musique has grown considerably by becoming a national event in several countries (Luxembourg, Italy, Greece, Peru, Ecuador, Colombia) or by being supported by large metropolises like New York, Berlin or Mexico City. By adapting to the cultural specificities of each country, the Fête de la Musique has been able to invent and reinvent itself and become an emblematic international musical event. Music Day is celebrated in more than 120 countries.
For this 2022 edition, the Alliance Française de Port Harcourt will organize an evening of concert and musical performance.
The idea is to offer something different from past years by hosting a French artist duo and a local musical performance.
The Fête de la Musique will take place in Port Harcourt on:
June 18, 2022 from 5 p.m.
In partnership with the French Institute of Nigeria; the Alliance Française Port Harcourt will host a piano-cello duo with a varied repertoire, ranging from French music to romantic music, film, expressionist…
Before the concert, a workshop-discovery of instruments for children will be offered.
