The Blue We Share : The Heritage of French Football at the World Cup

The Alliance Française de Port Harcourt, in partnership with the Embassy of France in Nigeria, is pleased to present “The Blue We Share: The Heritage of French Football at the World Cup”, an exhibition dedicated to the history of the French national football team. Held in the run up to the World Cup, the exhibition is showing in the hall of the Alliance Française de Port Harcourt from 18 June to the end of July 2026.

From the first matches of Les Bleus to the great generations that left their mark, the exhibition retraces the key moments, the iconic figures and the shared emotions that shaped the legacy of the French team through the World Cups. Built around images, archives and stories made possible thanks to the French Football Federation and its archive collections, the exhibition invites visitors to rediscover a history shaped by passion, heritage and shared pride.

Since the opening, the Alliance Française de Port Harcourt has welcomed groups of students from the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) and the Ignatius Ajuru University of Education (IAUE), who came to discover the exhibition and explore this shared history of football and culture.
“The Blue We Share” is presented simultaneously across the network of Alliances Françaises in Nigeria, with several centres hosting the exhibition. It was also unveiled at the Institut français du Nigéria from 11 June.

Entry is free and open to all.

Come and discover the journey, the achievements and the legacy of one of football’s most storied national teams.

Allez les Bleus!
