In partnership with Bookville World Bookstore, the Alliance Française of Port Harcourt proudly hosted a vibrant reading competition for young pupils from local primary schools. The event unfolded across three key dates: October 11, October 18, and the grand finale on November 29.
The competition created a wonderful opportunity for children to dive into literature and demonstrate their growing reading abilities. After a successful second preliminary round, several outstanding readers emerged and proceeded to face the winners of the first round at the final event on November 29, 2025.
The Bookville Reading Competition aims to inspire a love for reading and broaden the horizons of the younger generation. The grand finale was an exciting moment, during which the overall champion received a prestigious award along with the chance to learn French throughout the school year at the Alliance Française.
