The maiden edition of the Rivers International Film Festival (RIFF) commenced on the 25th of October 2023 with an engaging RIFF2Screen session. During this workshop, participants were taught basic editing skills and introduced to essential apps necessary for creating movies using their smartphones. This hands-on session provided budding filmmakers with practical knowledge to kickstart their creative journeys.
Later in the evening, a cocktail party marked the official opening of the festival, adding a touch of glamour and providing attendees an opportunity to network and celebrate the beginning of this exciting event.
The Rivers International Film Festival, organized by DESGOL Entertainment Worldwide, is a four-day celebration of new and emerging talents in the film industry.
Hosted by Alliance Française de Port Harcourt, the festival promises a lineup of diverse and inspiring film-related activities. The festival will run until the 28th of October 2023, and attendance is free, making it accessible to all film enthusiasts and the general public.
